Osceola Doc WalkS

The Osceola Doc Walk is a FREE year-round walking program that is hosted by local physicians, chiropractors and veterinarians on cool trails in the Osceola area. The mission is to encourage people of all ages and abilities to get active outdoors, get connected and discover the amazing trails in and around Osceola. Walks are scheduled throughout the year on different area trails. We have an Osceola Doc and “Dog” walk event planned with our local veterinarian. The doctor speaks about 3-5 minutes on a health topic and then leads a group on a walk for 45 minutes.
Dr. Erika Helgerson, OMC family practice physician has been on the planning committee for this program. She sees the many benefits that regular exercise has on her patients. “We have amazing trails and beautiful natural areas so close by that a lot of folks don’t even know about. This is a great opportunity for residents in Osceola to connect with a doctor and get support they need to start on a walking program.” said Deb Kravik, Chair of the Trails Coalition. -“Whether you’re a beginner or an avid walker, this will be a great opportunity to stay active and connect with your neighbors.”
