JOB ANNOUNCEMENT The Osceola Area Chamber of Commerce has a staff position currently available:
Administrative Assistant – Part time -10 hours per week. The Osceola Area Chamber and Main Street program is a growing and dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Osceola community, business membership and Main Street Program.
Position: The Administrative Assistant (AA) is responsible for assisting the Executive Director with administrative duties. The ideal candidate would be a detail-oriented individual with good communication skills looking for flexible part time work. It is imperative for this individual to be a self-starter; able to take direction and have strong organizational and time management skills. The Chamber of Commerce is based in Osceola and this position will include virtual office work-able to work from home with some in person meetings. Hourly position with no health insurance or retirement.
Duties include:
Reports To: Executive Director
Preferred Qualifications: 2 years experience performing clerical and communications duties.
Marketing and media experience a plus.

- clerical and communication support
- database maintenance,
- light accounting work,
- updating communications and marketing materials,including e-newsletter
- assisting with the scheduling and preparation of membership meetings and programs and
- other clerical tasks as necessary.

Required Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:
- Effective written and oral communication skills, including editing written materials,
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, Excel and social media ,
- Record keeping, basic data entry skills, and basic internet research skills.
- Time management skills in organizing and managing workload, including problem solving and
- A positive attitude,
- Willingness to learn new skills.
