The Chamber and Main Street board is currently seeking an experienced professional to serve as its first Interim Director. This part time position was created to ensure that the organization's operations stay steady during a leadership transition period.

- Must have strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.
- Must have computer skills, web content creation skills and some Social Media background.
- Must have familiarity with fundraising.
- Must have ability to interface with and motivate Board members, stakeholders, volunteers, and donor groups.
- Must have some marketing experience.
- Must have a passion in creating a great community to live, work and play.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining the strength and continuity of the Chamber/Main Street Organization.
- Works for the Board of Directors. Reports to the President of the Board.
- Focus on transition leadership, keeping the revenue coming in, and making sure that the organization continues to move forward in conjunction with our core values and strategic plan.
- Helps the Board assess the current situation so there is a clear and shared vision of what the organization needs in its next leader(s).
- Helps the Board organize for the next phase of the organization which may include dividing the Main Street and Chamber organization on some or all levels.
Basic Duties:
- Responds to emails, phone calls, website connections and texts.
- Manages Facebook and Instagram along with social media ambassadors.
- Assists with managing financial reporting/meets with bookkeepers as needed.
- Collaborates with the civic leaders, municipalities, and local jurisdictions.
- Participates in Chamber/Main Street Board meetings, Ribbon Cuttings, Customer Service Awards, Social Mixers, and occasional Village Board meetings.
- Provides direction for activities – does not plan them.
- Oversees membership drive.
- Coordinates a monthly newsletter and other forms of communication.
- Oversees Constant Contact (our email management module).
- Oversees Airtable (our CRM)
- Keeps content on website current.
- Collects and processes mail as needed (bookkeeper is collecting mail for the most part).
